Quick and Easy Ways to Elevate Your Outfits

Sometimes the outfit you have envisioned in your head doesn’t pan out as well as you imagined, or you’re just sick of constantly being seen out and about in sweats, maybe you just want to feel a bit better about yourself! Whatever your reason, something’s an outfit just needs that extra push to make you feel like the best version of yourself possible.

Below are some quick and easy ways to elevate your outfit before you head out the door!

  1. Styling

It feels painfully obvious to say, but try a different way of styling. If you have been wearing your go-to band tee for ages now, try tying the sides with hair ties and flipping them up - creating a slimmer look, for example! Or if you are feeling more adventurous, take a piece of clothing like a long top and try to style it into a mini dress!

  2. Accessorise

I know, I know I’m losing you - I promise we’ll move away from the rather basic advice soon. However, it’s basic because it’s important! If you are trying to elevate an outfit without accessorising, you are fighting a losing battle. Even just a simple necklace, statement belt, or a few rings scattered across your fingers. If you are accessorising with jewellery, it could be in your best interest to find out what type of jewellery suits you. Are you a gold, silver, black, or rose gold person? Does chunky or more dainty jewellery suit you the most?

3. Tights

  1. If you feel your outfit is too bare or boring, tights! Tights are always the answer when it comes to bare legs. A simple outfit can be elevated so much, but the added texture and even colour, depending on your style.

4. Adding something that isn’t for day-to-day

  1. This may be slightly hard to explain, but it ties into styling - if you add something that wouldn’t be seen in a casual day-to-day outfit, even just you knowing it’s there, may boost your confidence! For example, an unusual belt - using a tie as a belt or replacing your shoe laces with ribbon or lace. Nothing that stands out too much, but still adds a level of confidence and style to your outfit.
