Going to see Stray Kids this Summer? Here is some outfit inspiration!
With Stray Kids’ Dominate tour continuing, my For You page on TikTok has been full of discourse surrounding concert outfits. Many online users are over the red and black outfits being repeated throughout this tour, claiming they are cringeworthy and unoriginal. Remember, at the end of the day, this is a concert - your comfort and enjoyment of the music should be the only thing you are worried about, not others’ judgment on what you’re wearing.
However, if you are slightly struggling to pull together an outfit even though you’ve had this planned for months, you’re in the right place! This article showcases some Stray Kids-inspired outfits! (that aren’t just red and black - not that theres anything wrong with the red and black theme, it goes hard)
SKZOO Inspired Outfits
There has been a rising trend this tour of Stays dressing as their biases SKZOO - with each Stay bringing their own ideas and extra character to these characters. Not only is this a cute and fun way to support your favourite member, but it can be a less expensive option! Opting to use clothes you already have to create a simple outfit surrounding the character’s clothes rather than going out and buying a new outfit just for one night.
Below are some outfit inspirations for each character based on what I have seen Stays wearing so far.
Changbin - Dwaekki
Maybe it's just me, but Changbin stans have been ruling my entire For You page this tour, with most of the SKZOO-inspired outfits being theirs! With each and every one of them looking so incredibly beautiful there was one thing I noticed about them all - every Changbin Stan has Barbie energy. No, not just because Dwaekki’s colour is pink! That’s why I have decided that there are two Dwaekki-inspired.
1. Sleepwear paired with leather! We as a society should wear sleepwear outside more often with paired with “outside” clothes. This look is cute, slightly classy, and comfortable! Its a look that suit Changbin stans well.
2. Pink Denim Fits! Think peak Barbie movie moment. While most SKZOO outfits include bows, ruffles, and flow, denim just suits Dwaekki the best out of all of them. Practical, pretty, and comfortable.
Denim doesn’t mean you have to stick to a pair of jeans if that isn’t your style or concert preference - there are many ways to dress up denim and have fun with it, such as corsets, matching sets, skirts, and dresses.
Hyunjin - Jiniret
A cute, smirking ferret to match a cute and sexy idol, who just happens to be a fashion icon. Hyunjin is known for his fashion and being the Prince of Versace, so when thinking of how to style Jiniret, all I could think of was easy elegance. Something that is easy to wear, comfortable, yet also elevates an outfit and gives it a more stylish vibe.
That is why these white lace bottoms or leggings are a must for a Jiniret-inspired outfit. The white matches Jiniret, the lace brings the elegance, while also being a rather cooling item to wear. Remember, this is a concert during the Summer - while we all love dressing up, making sure your outfit is practical for the weather is equally, if not more, important.
An all white outfit screams Jiniret, while other characters such as FOXI.N and BbokAri can play off a number of colours - a Jiniret fit only really screams all white.
While styling your SKZOO-inspired outfit, you can also add in little details to certain members or eras. This headpiece above, for example, looks like Hyunjin' s “Rockstar” headpiece he wore in the album concept photos.
Bangchan - Wolf Chan
As mentioned at the start of this article, there has been some discourse, mainly on TikTok, regarding Stays wearing black and red. Whatever your opinions are on that rather time-wasting conversation, you have to agree, if you are going to wear black and red for any of the SKZOO characters, let it in Wolf Chan. It only makes sense.
If you aren’t going with red and black, the most obvious answers for Wolf Chans’ colours are grey, blue, and black. If this tour were during Winter, I would be suggesting fur coats, denim skirts with fur and print on them, fur boots, and fur hats! The whole lot. However, we have to be realistic with the Summer heat, I still suggest fur boots, especially if you are seated rather than standing. However, it might be best to leave the fur coats at home.
If fur isn’t your thing or it’s simply too hot, I would suggest lace once again - just as I did for Jiniret. However, this time I would suggest black lace as a top or an accent piece of your top rather than focusing on the legs. For your legs, if yo plan to wear a skirt with your Wolf Chan outfit, leg harasses or leg warmers are definitely the move.
Wolf Chan-inspired outfits have the potential to be some of the comfiest outfits or the hottest outfits that make you uncomfortable and regret wearing them, so be careful and plan according to the weather and your own comfort zone.
Han - Quokka
You may have noticed that many of the SKZOO-inspired outfits include skirts and dresses; however, when styling a Quokka outfit, jorts are a must!
Not only do jorts work wonders in the heat if you aren’t someone who enjoys a skirt or dress, but they also have a Han vibe to them, if that makes any sense. For example, imagine you’re at the Stray Kids concert and see someone dressed in jorts and a casual top - you’ll probably assume they enjoy Han Pop.
On the complete opposite side, layering! Brown, being Quokka’s colour, is one of the easiest colours to layer in outfits. Layering your outfit also creates a “Nana” vibe - an anime Han is a fan of, and some of his stage outfits have been styled around!
Layering does not have to include massive coats or heavy clothes, even something as simple as having your tank top strap showing from under your t-shirt or skirt over jeans.
I.N - Foxi.ny
For IN stans, a whimsical vibe suits Foxi.ny so well as foxes are known for their appearances in folklore and trickery. A playful way of dressing up your Foxi.ny inspired outfit would include lace, bows, and most importantly, accessories.
Pink and White are Foxi.ny colours, however, instead of a full white or full pink outfit, I would suggest picking one of the colours as the base and the other colour for the accents and accessories. I.N is one of the most fashionable members in Stray Kids, and based off of my For You Page, I.N stans are the most fashionable stays out there!
Lee Know - LeeBit
For a LeeBit-inspired outfit, a casual and cool look that surrounds black and white clothing. Upscaled sports wear to have a more elegant and fashionable vibe. Elegance yet comfort is a must. Silver accessories would suit the inspiration of these outfits.
To balance elegant yet comfortable outfits, I suggest that one half of the outfit focuses on comfort while the other half focuses on fashion - for example, having your bottom half comfortable and the top half of your outfit stylish yet prepared for the weather.
Felix - BbokAri
Arguably the cutest skzoo for one of the cutest members. With BbokAri colours being mainly yellow, blue, and a touch of pink, it is the perfect chance for our pastel-loving Stays.
This jellyfish-style skirt is a perfect example of a cute yet useful outfit idea. The blue and yellow are perfect colours for the Summer season. These colours also don’t align with the typical “red and black” Stay outfits.
Another piece of clothing that gives BbokAri vibes is denim dungarees! They can be styled in such a cute way and are easy to accessorize. Dungarees are often associated with cute fashion, which matches BbokAri s’ cuteness.
Seungmin - PuppyM
Last but definitely not least is PuppyM! Seungmin stans are some of the most beautiful people on this planet so truthfully anything will work. PuppyM colour is a light brown; however, blue is also a colour that suits Seungmin, so I have tied that into the inspirations.
While wearing a harass isn’t unusual for K-pop concerts, especially Stray Kids and Ateez, but if there is any SKZOO that would include a harass, it would be PuppyM! Rather than a sexy vibe, these harass can be paired with a cute dress or light brown skirt and flowy white shirt.
As mentioned above, blue suits Seungmin - blue can be paired with white and brown so easily! However, for a truly PuppyM inspired outfit I would only suggest accents of blue or one statement piece of blue.
