bite

I’d never entertain

The idea of cannibalism.

Unable to explain

How humans could consume

One another, blessed bites

from bedroom, grave and tomb.

Bite into your shoulder,

Marking you as though you

were mine to hold closer.

You are, mine to undue

and ruin, blood spilt over

as I bite, tease and bite again.

I could taste it, devotion.

Mixed with flesh, blood

Was something unexpected, emotion

Rose, as I swallowed you whole.

Feelings flooding to the surface, explosion

Of everything I needed and never knew.

Addicted to everything,

everything to do with you.

Obsession is a scary thing.

Needed to taste you, bite

on your bones until my teeth broke.
