25 Things I Learnt in 2025

  1. No one is coming to save or push you.

  2. Even when you’re not good at something or have never tried it, you should do it.

  3. Don’t let yourself be comfortable for too long.

  4. Submit your work. Doors aren’t going to magically open for you; you have to force them open. Build the damn door yourself if you must.

  5. No one cares. No one cares what you’re wearing, posting or anything you do. Everyone is too busy with their own lives, and isn’t that wonderful

  6. Stop enabling bad behaviours within your friends (even if you think you have their best interests)

  7. Religion isn’t as awful as I once believed, but it isn’t comforting either

  8. Stop performing.

  9. If your body is healthy and getting you through this life, then what is the point in hating it?

  10. Eat more oranges

  11. Its okay to take up space in a room and use your voice. Encouraged even.

  12. Never make a decision past 9pm

  13. Lust is the worst sin

  14. You are the only person who has to be truly happy with your life and choices

  15. Labels create a sense of identity and purpose for some, but you don’t have to subscribe to that idea

  16. We are all just animals when our bones meet the dirt

  17. I am a filthy maladaptive daydreamer, and it will be the death of me

  18. Hug your mother more.

  19. My worst fear is never changing

  20. Document your life. Photos. Writing. Film

  21. I will succeed because I am crazy and will force it to happen no matter what

  22. It’s okay to be alone and do things alone, but you shouldn’t let yourself feel lonely

  23. Faking it until you make it is real (an ongoing process)

  24. What you do in private reflects who you become publicly

  25. It will get better.
