Itzy’s most emotional win - TUNNEL VISION

Itzy have officially won their first win for their latest comeback, “TUNNEL VISION” on KBS Music Bank. Friday, 21st of November, marks Itzy's first OT5 win since “Cake”, and their last win was when member Lia was on hiatus in 2024.

Many fans were beyond proud as this also marks their first win since the group’s contract renewal back in September. Since their debut back in February 2019, Itzy have won 49 awards.

As some of the members began crying, overwhelmed with gratitude for the win, Yeji, the group’s leader, gave a speech through her tears.

“I think this is our first no. 1 since renewing our contract, and knowing so well how much our MIDZYs wanted to give us no. 1, I think this award is even more meaningful.

Thanks to our beloved MIDZYs, we’ve been able to work hard with pride under the name ITZY. We’ll continue to strive to be an ITZY that can show you even better sides in the future. Thank you.”

After the programme, Yeji would go onto “Bubble” - a platform where fans pay a subscription to receive texts from their favourite idols, once again thanking her fans.

“MIDZY! Thank you so much for making us win first place today. I’m so grateful and tearful thinking about MIDZY, who worked hard to bring us visible results in places that we can’t see.

In fact, I was happy just to be nominated for first place. Even if it wasn’t a visible result, the support and love that MIDZY always send proved a lot, so I thought I was loved enough for every activity, and I was truly grateful.

Regardless of the results, I think I worked hard because I wanted to give MIDZY something visible through this promotion, but I think MIDZY thought about us and did it for us because we felt the same way towards each other, so my heart was running out, and I just felt various emotions.

I’m so happy that we won the award, but I think it was a happier time to know how much we love MIDZY and how much we love ITZY. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

And I hope MIDZY doesn't feel pressured or too stressed by the results they see.

We’re already enough with each other, and we‘re always happy because of MIDZY!! I’m the most proud of MIDZY’s support, and I’m glad that I can continue with these people! But thank you so much for letting us win first place today. I’ll be as happy as I can because MIDZY gave it to me. Thank you. I love you.”

After this message, Yeji confirmed she had started to cry once again. This win was so deserved, as even fans of other groups came together to congratulate Itzy of the win. Itzy have been the subject of hate trains over the last few years, so to see so many idols openly support them during this win, including Stray Kids and NEXZ.
